    About Invisalign

Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners which are both removable and virtually invisible. You wear the aligners for around 22 hours per day, depending on your treatment plan, and you can remove them for eating, brushing, flossing, or for special events. As long as you wear your aligners for a majority of the day, you can straighten your teeth with no impediment to your normal daily routines.

    Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign aligners utilize 3-D computer imaging technology to create a series of aligners that will gently reposition teeth over a set period of time. Depending on your goals, Dr. Cutting will create several sets of aligners for you to wear for about 2 weeks at a time. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little, until they have straightened to their final position. With each set of aligners, you get closer to the smile of your dreams. Dr. Cutting will go over your treatment in a consultation.

    Invisalign FAQs

When should I get Invisalign® instead of another orthodontic treatment?

Invisalign can treat a variety of orthodontic cases, including gaps, overcrowding, bite misalignment, and more. However, there are some cases that may respond better to traditional metal braces. Invisalign is recommended on a patient-by-patient basis and will be determined at your initial orthodontic consultation.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

The average Invisalign treatment time is between 12 and 18 months, which is typically shorter than the average time spent in traditional metal braces. You’ll switch out your aligners every one to two weeks and visit our office approximately every six weeks for check-ups.

How should I care for my clear aligners after I get them?

Ensure you’re removing your aligners before each meal and brushing your teeth before putting them back in. When wearing your aligners, refrain from drinking any colored beverages. You may clean your clear aligners with a non-abrasive dental solution or antibacterial soap.
